2017 Walter & Marie Williams Building Dedication
WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College held a ceremony Aug. 2 to dedicate the Walter and Marie Williams Building, a brand new 78,000-square-foot science and technology training facility located on the western side of the college’s main campus.

Held in the Williams Building’s Max Ray Joyner Lecture Hall, the dedication featured remarks from PCC administrators, Walter Williams and Max Joyner. A local businessman and philanthropist, Williams served on the PCC Board of Trustees from 2005 to 2017.

Following the dedication, there was a reception featuring light refreshments. Attendees also toured the Williams Building, which will serve as the home of Pitt’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programming.

Designed by JKF Architecture’s John Farkas, Farmville-based Farrior & Sons, Inc., began construction of the Williams Building in the fall of 2015. It is the 18th building on the PCC main campus and the largest.
