2013 Student Ambassador Training
Pitt Community College student ambassadors are required to attend three days of intensive leadership training each August before the start of fall semester.

Training includes effective communication and public speaking tips, meetings with PCC’s president and vice presidents, a scavenger hunt, and instruction on leading campus tours and providing registration day assistance. Ambassadors also complete a certificate program based on Stephen Covey's "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People."

The group also takes on a challenging ropes course at East Carolina University that requires students to work as a team and solve problems together. It consists of physical challenges that involve trust, good communication, creativity and thinking skills.

During the final phase of leadership training, ambassadors elect officers, schedule meetings for fall semester, and select a service project for the year.
