2012 Explore! Camp
Youngsters on the PCC campus this week are taking part in the Explore Summer Youth Programs.

The annual program, formerly known as Kids' Camp, is open to children 7-14 years old and features everything from a scuba/snorkel academy to camps... on music, science, robotics and art. All camps are being led by either PCC faculty or Pitt County Schools instructors.

On Wednesday, children participating in the "Earth, Moon and Stars" camp made weather stations complete with thermometers, rain gauges, anemometers and weather vanes.

"Go Wild!" were visited by Brad Williams, parks program assistant with Greenville's River Park North, on Wednesday afternoon. Williams spoke to the children about the various types of poisonous and non-poisonous snakes that can be found in North Carolina.

As part of his presentation, Williams brought a live black rat snake and corn snake for the children to see and touch.
