PBS and the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) are hosting a live event from Central Park. The event weaves together film clips, remarks and musical performances in celebration of our national parks and Ken Burns’s film, THE NATIONAL PARKS: AMERICA’S BEST IDEA, premiering September 27 on PBS. PBS and program talent for the event includes PBS COO Michael Jones; filmmakers Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan; and actor and film narrator Peter Coyote. Musical talent includes Eric Benet, Gavin DeGraw, Jose Feliciano, Carole King, Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, Noel Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow in a special tribute to Mary Travers, plus Counting Crow and Augustana.
