Spinning Yarn at the Bus Stop - Iza, Colombia

    Newer Older

As we walked through the small town of Iza near the Lago de Tota in the Department of Boyacá , we passed this mother and daughter waiting for a bus. To make good use of the time, the woman was spinning wool into yarn as she waited.

Hi, this is really a beautiful picture! I am searching the internet for historical and ethnological pictures about spinning, because I am working on a small exhibition about the history of handspinning. Would you allow me to use your photo in my exhibition? And you have more photos of spinning people? best wishes, Uli from germany
