St Michael the Archangel

St. Michael is one of the principal angels; his name (Who is like God?) was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers.

In art St. Michael is represented as an angelic warrior, fully armed with helmet, sword, and shield (often the shield bears the Latin inscription: Quis ut Deus).
