St Thérèse outside the Lisieux Carmel

""There is but one thing for us to do in the night of this life and that is to love, to love Jesus with all the energy of our heart and to save souls so that He may be loved by them. O let us cause Jesus to be loved by men!"

– St Thérèse of Lisieux., whose feast is today, my sermon for today can be read here.

Sainte-Thérèse-de-l'Enfant-Jésus entered this Carmelite monastery in Lisieux in 1888 at the unusually young age of 15.

This statue of the saint stands outside to welcome the many pilgrims who come here.
