Good to see I'm not the only one who collects these. :)

They are so visually appealing. Sadly, I've only read a fraction of my collection. I love them for their spines, strange to say.

    I love it!

Can you please put on it's publication and year?

  5. Patrick Q 105 months ago | reply

    You've got it!

    Thanks!

(btw - princess of the moor is circa 1900 maybe)

Okay, I'm a creep for favoriting without commenting. :-)
I'm crazy for pretty books, but try to resist acquiring ones I'm not going to read (tiny apartment). Still, I love the look of them. I'm strongly considering stealing your double-row idea.

Uh-oh, that mean's I'm a creep a million-times-over; I do that all the time. The double-row thing has proven to be a good compromise to lining all my walls with books- I rotate them about twice a year so I don't forget the ones in the back, unless they are ugly and then they are banished to the back...FOREVER :0)

I think the Solitary Summer is by Elizabeth von Arnim (she wrote Enchanted April). Any chance you could post a photo of the front cover?

Hi Matt & Greta, That book is in storage. Sorry! I enjoyed your Japanese photos. Are you vacationing or do you live there now?
