Winter in Heuston
Yesterday was the first 'real' snow that we received this year in southwestern Ohio. We only receive a couple of inches but it was a very beautiful, peaceful snowfall. While we were hiking near one of our favorite creeks I saw these leaves. I laughed because my brother and I joke about my habit of noticing and taking pictures of dead leaves. It was a cold day and I only stepped into a hidden creek up to mid-thigh one time, not realizing that my foot was all wet inside my boot. I managed to not notice my cold, wet foot until I got home and realized that my sock was all wet. This weekend is the Winter Hike at Hocking Hills State Park and we're going over for that.
