      Actually, I think this is a reasonable request. He didn't call anyone names, he wasn't actually PA, he was quite straight forward; and he offered to replace any products he throws out. Sounds like a pretty decent guy to me. Not everyone can afford to move and he probably wasn't aware that this problem existed before he moved in. His requests seem reasonable to me.

      Just imagine if this was a note from a parent asking everyone to please use unscented laundry soap because her infant was allergic to the scent. I'll bet the neighbors' PA attitudes (i.e. continuing to buy scented soap, despite the pleas of someone with whom they have to coexist) would change. IMO, the neighbors here are the ones being PA, not Alan. Would that more people just directly asked for what they needed or wanted, the world be a much less confusing place.
