San Diego - Petco Park

    Newer Older

Petco Park Section 129, Row 1 Seat 1 San Diego, CA Fortune favors the foolish sometimes. I had purchased tickets to the LA Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres game many months prior as a possible event we would do in San Diego. Little did I know that Manny Rameriz would be suspended from MLB and come back this came. Little did I know of the rivalry between SD and LA. WOW - such a fun baseball game to attend. Fans in Dallas are apathetic towards baseball. This was the best crowd I have attended a baseball game with in years. What a difference it makes to the great game. Petco Park looks fantastic when you View On Black

Wow, amazing shot! Petco park is considered one of the nicer ballparks out there now. The rowdiest ballgame I ever went to was a Yankees/Red Sox game at the old stadium. People were arrested.

Wow! What colors, depth and clarity! Great angle and timing.

Haha - maybe I'm describing a diamond. The 5DMkII and 24-70 2.8 are just fantastic. You are making me jealous. Paired with the photographer, you do great work Matt.

Nice composiiton and great depth of the image. You've given it a different look than a typical 'Ballpark' image. Great job.

      Absolutely gorgeous dusk shot here.

I had always heard the opposite about Californian baseball--that the fans arrive late and leave early. Maybe things have gradually began to change. Sounds like a fun time, at least. I'm betting James Loney grounded into a double play in this at bat. I had him on my fantasy team for a while this year, and he was nothing but trouble!

Beautifull dusk time shot! Matt - all your ballpark shots have been homeruns!

Baseball is much better live than on TV any day. Your shot is enhanced with the skyscrapers in the shot.

Very nice... this one has to be viewed large to appreciate all the details... I've always liked how they incorporated the oldest standing building in San Diego in to the new stadium. So cool.
