La Maison Hertel de la Fresnière

This house at 802 Rue des Ursulines, Trois-Rivières, was built by Joseph-François Hertel de la Fresnière, a Québécoise soldier born in 1642. He acquired the land in 1668 but the house was not built until the 1820s. After that it remained in the Hertel de la Fresnière family for over a hundred years. It was purchased by the municipality of Trois-Rivières in 1970.
