Coliseo, Roma (I)

    Newer Older

Canon EOS400D with Sigma 18-50mm f:/2,8. Panorama merged in Photoshop CS3 from 7 handheld shots f:/6,3 1/160s @23mm. Processed in Photomatix Pro to HDR.

Despite having travelled many time around Northern Italy, I hadn't been in Rome since 1984. On one hand I was afraid that my teenager memories had idealized the Caput Mundi and, in the other hand, couldn't wait for this weekend trip to walk with my Canon around one of the most beautiful sceneries in Europe. Although I took several panos around the Colisseum, this one is special to me, as it was the first image I got in 24 years, coming from Santa Maria Maggiore.

Thanks so much for your comments and your pano shots here. I see you've Canon400D and 18-50mm too. With this camera it's hard to make good pano, that's why I choose the easiest way.. the coolpix :-)
But .. I haven't CS3. It seems it works very well for panorama shots?
Any way .. I am looking through your fantastic stream .. will be back! ☺
