Milky Way Reflections
Here is another Vertorama from last weekend’s star-shoot in the Little Karoo… this one was taken early on Saturday evening… before the moon made its appearance.
I realised a couple of things at this shoot that I’d never really considered before… A) Reflections at night are not nearly as strong and well-defined as reflections during the day… B) I definitely need a much stronger torch if I want to try light-painting stuff on the other side of a dam… and C) There is not one single point in the night sky where you don’t see any stars!! You might be able to see completely dark bits of space when you look at the stars with your naked eyes… but when I zoomed in really closely on this photo… I could not find a single bit of black sky without a star in it!! Amazing!!!
Although I’m really unhappy with the completely black lower-right corner of this image… I still felt that it was worthwhile posting it.
