Okay… here’s another pretty predictable composition from me… taken a couple of weeks ago… on a farm near Durbanville... about half an hour before sunset.
As soon as I saw this long drainage ditch running through the canola field… I immediately started walking towards it. It was like a magnet pulling me along… I couldn’t help myself… I simply had to line it up and shoot it this way! Sorry if it’s a bit boring… :)
My favorite image of the day is this one by Reid Wilcott… a grad student and research assistant at the University of Washington in the USA. I really love how Reid has composed this shot with the logs scattered in the foreground and with the sweetest light imaginable spilling through that hole in the rock. I can’t believe that he’s only had fourteen views and one comment (mine) on this image so far… I think some people deserve a lot more exposure than they get here on Flickr!
Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20 at 10mm, an aperture of f11 and a 1/60th second exposure.
