Waterberg Bush Camp (Vertorama)
Location: Waterberg District, Limpopo
Description: The Waterberg mountains extend approximately 15,000 square kilometers in the northern Limpopo province, South Africa. The ecosystem can be characterised as a dry deciduous forest or Bushveld.
Within the Waterberg there are archaeological finds dating to the Stone Age, and nearby are early evolutionary finds related to the origin of humans.
Andre and I spent the weekend taking promotional photographs of the Waterberg Game Reserve, the luxurious bushveld lodges, the immaculate golf course, loads and loads of animals… and of course, a few sunsets and sunrises too!!
I’ve shot 12 gigabytes worth of images so I’m going to be really busy processing everything over the next couple of weeks. I certainly won’t be posting everything to my Flickr stream, and there may be some days where I won’t manage to post anything. I also won’t have too much time to browse and comment on all your photographs, but don’t worry, I’ll catch up with all your latest photographs as soon I get the time (I’d hate to miss any gems)!
This Vertorama was taken in the lounge of the lodge at the Bush Camp on Friday night, while everyone else was sitting around the fire in the Boma outside. This is the first time that I’ve processed one of my Vertoramas in Photoshop (I’m a big Paint Shop Pro fan), and this is also the first Vertorama that I’ve shot in RAW. The improvement in quality is immediately noticeable (at least it is to me) and I’m very pleased with the results!!
