Cayuga Park
Cayuga Playground in San Francisco was made famous by its amazing sculpture-filled gardens, created by the groundskeeper, Demi Braceros, who retired in early 2008.

I first started photographing the park in 2008; since then, most of the sculptures have been removed to storage, pending some serious remodeling at the park. In the meantime, there's also been quite a bit of vandalism, and some of Demi's murals have been painted over by SF Parks and Rec. Most of the lovely pathways he created are overgrown and neglected. The future of Cayuga remains to be seen: will it ever be restored to its former glory, or improved upon? Let's cross our fingers.
