Sunset Over Everest from Tengboche

taken from the village of tengboche, about half way up from lukla to our aim, everest base camp. waited for about 40mins as the sun seemed to creep very very slowly. its amazing the temperature drop when the sun disappears (minus temps).


Tengboche (or Thyangboche) is a village in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal, located at 3,867 metres (12,687 ft). In the village is an important Buddhist monastery, the largest gompa in the Khumbu region. Thyangboche has a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountains, including the well known peaks of Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.
