Last CSX freight delivery on the Tropicana trestle in 2005

A CSX freight train with the last carload for Littrell Building Materials company is pictured backing up on the old SAL-to-ACL interconnecting trestle near Tropicana Field on December 27, 2005. The train is powered by GP39-2 engines 4308 and 4310. Photographer Mark Zielinski points out that the train included additional cars that were backed up next to the old SAL freight depot. Two days later, these engines removed all the remaining rolling stock from the old SAL line, and the CSX suspended any further operations on the line. Courtesy Mark Zielinski
