The Western ("Wailing") wall in Jerusalem.

This is a cropped albumen print (4 x 3 inches), half stereo, from an original negative by Frank Mason good, mounted on card. It was taken by Good during his first trip to the Near East in 1866/67. It was listed as No 579 in the Frith Series photographic catalogue (B.Lazard, ""The Photo Historian"", Supplement 93, 1991, page 5). It belongs to a Portfolio entitled ""24 Photographic Illustrations of the Holy Land taken under the Direction of Mr F Frith"", presented to the PEF by Frederick Harrison in 1914
