15121 Grizzly Bear

This is a scan from a slide I shot in 1982. It was about 7:30 pm. I had just retired to my tent in the back country of Kluane National Park, Yukon, and had opened my book, when I had an impulse to take another look outside. There it was, the standard view of tundra and mountain wilderness... but with a difference! A grizzly bear approaching! As he circled my camp, it was all I could do to hold my camera steady and shoot until my film ran out. Kodachrome 64, Nikkormat Ft3, Nikon 200mm f/4 lens, exposure unrecorded.

Scanned from the original Kodachrome 64 slide, September 1982.
