Spiderman and Froggie's lunch is about to be rudely disrupted

Newer Older

Is it just me or do people seem to be having trouble "keeping up" with Flickr? One sees lots of "I'm busy" name tags...
kevindooley (busy_solving_bank_crisis)

I think many of us enjoy the benefits of having many and good contacts, but the time involved is significant. Unless you have a small contact network, and most of my contacts don't, Flickrtime can turn into hours. It is no wonder people get Flickr-burned-out.

Is having a smaller network the only sustainable solution, or are there other ways of managing the temporal black hole of Flickr? (Explore)

Interesting shot & inspirational description, it's always a give-and-take issue . Just depends on your mind & listen to your soul for the final decision.

yeah, it is time consuming....and if I get burn out, I just won't post for a day or two. I do enjoy it though, and I haven't had too much of a burn out problem lately.

I make sure I make comments to my friends, then I check out some groups, or perhaps all my other contacts. As long as I post to my friends, I feel good about it...and anything else will just be if I have extra time.

plus I can access flickr at work, that helps immensely!!

    wonderful creative shot..

and the commentary.. lol I try to keep my network smallish, but I also have a lot of incredibly kind and supportive contacts and don't want them to feel as though I have forgotten them.. I'll get there.. eventually. ;-)

Nice! Love the concept! And I have to agree with you on the "keeping up" with Flickr statement. If only we had a few extra hours per day. >_< Life is too short. We must all enjoy it while it last, my friend.

ah! i think what you are talking about is acute flickrkeepupwithcontactsitis. i think it's important to hold on to dr seuss's famous idea 'those that matter won't mind' [if one isn't around a while or whatever...], '... and those that mind... don't matter...]. i love how you give me a thought for the day... thank you!

I know what you mean! My boyfriend keeps telling me to take "time off" or "manage my addiction"... But what can you do... I don't think I can live without brilliant images like this one. To me, it makes Flickr worth the time I put in.

I'm spending some time on Flickr, but i have to find time to see photo exhibitions August september is a really busy time for that. I need to get involved also in the activities of a photo club, plus making business trips. So I prefer not spending time trying to enlarge my circle of contacts. Oh I was forgetting also: find some time to sleep! ;-)
