If you make it at home:
I highly recommend using milk rather than water and a teaspoon of baking powder rather than the 4 TABLESPOONS called for in this recipe. That is a lot of baking powder!
I made this twice, the first time with the 4 tablespoons of power and it was surprisingly not inedible (I was really afraid it would be). However, when I made it the second time, I used only a teaspoon and the recipe still worked, but had less of a baking powdery taste.
The first time I used black raspberry jam as a filling, but the second time (the party), I filled the turnovers with a mixture of ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, and herbs. The jam, in my opinion was better!
I used another recipe to decide that a hot oven is 400 to 450 degrees. I went with 400 to be safe and it worked out okay! You could probably experiment a bit more.
