Vasa

The Vasa is a battleship that was built in Stockholm in 1628 to lead the navy of Sweden, then an European superpower.

Due to poor construction and too many canons on board, the ship sank in Stockholm harbor, only a few kilometers into its maiden voyage. It was lifted in 1961 and is on public display now - the only battle ship preserved from that age.
