Corona Composite of 2012 Australia Totality
It took me one and a half month to achieve this relatively satisfactory result.
Setup: Canon 70-200 mm f/4 lens set to 200mm f/4.0, Canon 50D, mounted by Astrotrac in solar rate.
Processed in IRIS, Fitswork, PS CS3 Ext. Standard calibration performed (bias and dark subtracted, vignetting function applied).
Earthlit lunar silhouette vaguely discernible to naked eye visually, however, it eluded my photographs, with additional negative factor from a layer of high thin clouds. I spent enough time enjoying visual admiration of the corona. It's beyond any of my description.
North approximately up.
Image 50% scaled in PS3 Ext.
