C/2014 S2 (PANSTARRS) on 2015-Dec-13
Images calibrated with bias, dark and flat in IRIS, registration on comet's motion in IRIS, noise reduction and intensity and saturation stretches in Photoshop CC. The comet moves very slow so median stacking of the image sequence with alignment on the comet motion still gives relatively roundish stars, despite a bit elongated vertically by a second look.
The fuzzy spot on the right to the comet is galaxy NGC 6247.
m1 = 8.6, Dia. = 5', DC = 4 thru 20x80 binoculars visually. The comet was easily visible thru the binoculars, although it was low in the sky (alt. ~16 deg).
