Reloj de Gobernación II
The 'Reloj de Gobernacion' or Government Clock (sometimes also known as 'Reloj de la Puerta del Sol' or the Clock of Puerta del Sol) is a clock tower located on the Real Casa de Correos in Puerta del Sol. It was inaugurated in 1866 by Queen Isabel II on the occasion of her birthday. The clock is a work of the Spanish clock maker José Rodríguez Losada, who donated the machinery to the City Hall of Madrid. The clock, after a century of uninterrupted work, keeps chiming the bells each year in the ritual of the twelve grapes.
