Black-shouldered kite 3 / Australian Kite

In one of the many paddocks that make up 50% of "suburban" Canberra. There were two of them, then three. These birds commonly perch close to roads and in full view of photographers, prey and others. They are particularly beautiful raptors, snowy white all over apart from the wings and eye patches. I wondered how they kept their whites so white without the aid of enzyme- and brightener-laden washing powder!
