El Salvador Human Cost Report case study
Along the Coast of El Salvador, families are taking steps to cope with climate change. Acajutla—El Salvador’s largest and oldest port— is one of the towns that have seen the changes of climate change. Although there was seasonal flooding and high tides before, they were not as intense as they are now. There is more intense flooding including areas that didn’t flood before. The local community has started campaigning and making changes to adapt to this new situation.
