Rashida shares lunch with neighbors at an event organized by Oxfam and partner organization Utopia

Rashida attends an event organized by Oxfam and partner Utopia, designed to bring together Syrian refugees and members of the community together in May 2014.

Rashida said: "The conflict in Syria is all around us here as you can see it in the smallest things. We used to have a good garbage system, for example, but now with so many more people living in the area, the trash cans are overflowing and everything is very expensive. People can't afford the basics. We should focus on creating job opportunities for women and girls.

"Many of the young people around here, both Lebanese and Syrian, have university degrees, but they can't get jobs. They could be teachers and bankers - one of my daughters has a business degree, the other a teaching qualification. It is such a waste when they cannot work: this must be the same for both the Lebanese people and refugees."
