Outwood Mill - Bin Floor Ladder

The topmost floor of the Old Post Mill at Outwood Common is called the "bin floor".

It is given this name due to the location of the grain bins on this floor of Outwood Windmill. It is around 40 feet above the ground of Outwood Common where Outwood Mill is located.

Youw ill see the trap door in the centre of the picture, this was where sacks of grain would come through when the Miller at outwood would use the internal sack haul system of Outwood Windmill to haul the grain to the top floor of the Mill at Outwood.

Outwood Windmill is Britains Oldest Working Windmill. For full details please visit
