Chittenango Falls

A small view of a robust waterfall. Chittenango Falls is a very pleasant waterfall and the only home to the endangered "Chittenango Ovate Amber Snail". It is also home to a rare fern: hart’s-tongue fern.

The waterfall has a very open top and the days I went where very overcast leading to a very ugly white sky above the waterfall, so I have not posted any of the "full view" photos.

FYI for waterfall "hunters": The entire base of the waterfall is off-limits to protect this unique habitat. It does however have very easy access to a walk way across the stream just above the water level.

The small single stream of water surrounded entirely by large sprays caught my eye.
