Graph of "modernism" vs. "midcentury modern" in the NYT, 1984-2009

This graph demonstrates that uses of the terms "modernism" and "midcentury modern" are slowly but steadily increasing in the NYT. We also chose two modernist designers, Eames and Corbusier, to see if there was any difference between American and European designers. Perhaps because of their international fame, the occurrences were similar.
