Overhead view of Downtown Minneapolis, MN

    Newer Older

Eastbound and westbound trains frequently meet at Government Plaza station in front of City Hall in downtown Minneapolis.

The plan was to take advantage of the northerly near solstice sunset, but the sun got too close to the horizon by the time it lined up with 5th Street to do a whole lot of illuminating.

Still a great shot, even if it didn't quite go as planned, Nick. And how often DO they go as planned??!!

Nice shot! I really like this roof too but couldn't get the shot of light rail I wanted without leaning over the edge which is the kind of thing I've vowed to stop doing. I've got to get a super wide lens! Here's the shot I got but I would have liked a 12mm view better.

Nice shot Bob. The leaning situation wasn't too bad from this ramp, must be worse from the one you were on... they did boot me out for not having a permit though.
