Volcanic Sunset
My son called me outside this afternoon. He wanted me to have a look at what he said was a very strange full moon.
And he was right: It looked a little strange. Of course it wasn't a full moon at all, but the sun shining trough a layer of clouds.
Today all commercial airline traffic has been shut down in Norway due to a volcanic eruption on Iceland. A cloud of volcanic gases and dust covers the airspace above us. I guess the sun phenomenon and the eruption is not connected at all, but it was too tempting not to make that connection when I titled this photo.
