Oberheim DX PROM

One of the EPROMs in an Oberheim DX has lost its protective covering. I wonder how long before stray UV erases it.

Might be a good idea to get those EPROMs into an EPROM programmer and read them out now, just in case. Save the data as a hex file and then you'll be able to program new EPROMs one day if necessary.

Good idea -- I've gave it a try this this evening. The instruments seem to have data, but the ones with the DX1.4A and DX1.4B stickers were not responding. www.nycresistor.com/2012/07/29/teensy-rom-dump/
