CandyFab Sign

This is it, the completed 3D sugar fabricator. We made a front cover for it to hide some of the less pretty parts, and decided to make it in to a sign as well, since we'll be showing this off at the Maker Faire next week. I used a laser cutter to cut out the letters and segments from scrap acrylic. The sign labels this machine the "CandyFab 4000." (Sounds official, doesn't it?)

      This is Amazing!
As a former cotton candy maker (Is there a title for that job?) I'm immediately thinking of ways to perfect this and get the sugar temperature exactly right for hard crack and to start adding streaks of flavoring (or different flavors per layer!!) and making gigantic lollypops! The high heat low flow might be found in a shrink wrapping gun or a pain stripper. The trick would be in precise temperature control. I wonder what would happen if you chilled the sugar to reduce bleed over? So many ideas this brings! Great inventors you are! Yes!
