      I *wish* digikey would carry stuff like this-- they don't have any red ones nearly this bright.

      These are the 60,000 mCd 10 mm red ones from topbright LED store on eBay, starting at 10 pieces for $9.99-- down to $0.32 each at 1000 pieces. These are excellent LEDs-- it's a lot of light to come out of such a tiny circuit.

      You can probably find some other good choices in that store too....

      These look to be about the same mcd, case, and viewing angle - $15 for 50pc.

      Those blaster Photos that I uploaded are just my reference Photos (taken from an ebay auction for an original prop). MIne won't look quite that good. :)
