Blood Red Sunset - Hvítserkur, Iceland

The best time to shoot sunsets or sunrise in north Iceland is in summer (from mid May to end of August) becuase at that time the sun sets into the sea.

This a shot taken 15 minutes before my previous post from Hvítserkur. The sunset lasted for about an hour, first turning pink, then red, orange and finally it became yellow just before the sun rose above the horizon.

I am not through with this guy though, I will have to visit it at least once more sometimes soon, I really want to get the ripples in the sand below it on a very low tide. If I am lucky I might get Aurora aswell here one day.
