Good and Evil - Eyjafjallajökull Eruption

Eyjafjallajökull, Iceland

The volcano is still spewing up ash and lava like never before. Its activity levels come in bursts.

When ever there are earthquakes deep under the volcano the activity level increases. It point to that there is magma still being pumped into the volcano from deep under it. Scientists say that it the magma originating deep from the earth, from the mantel. They also say that these kind of eruptions usually last longer than eruptions with magma originating shallower.

I never get tired of exploring this event and photographing it. It is such an awesome thing to witness, like nothing I have seen before. I got within 5 km from the crater this weekend and then I could really feel the incredible power. It the greatest display of natural forces I have ever seen.

However much we humans change and damge the environment and nature around us an eruption like this is something we can not change or damage. So, luckilly future generations will be able to observe these natural events even though other parts around them will be greatly altered.
