Finally I got a good day and some good images shooting with my new 5D MK II.
It´s been two weeks since I got it and it is either always dark or rainy when I have time off from work.
This time I headed to lake Kleifarvatn close to my home. I wanted to go on a longer tour but my poor old Opel has seen better days and is on it´s last kilometers.
It was pretty windy today and even the relatively small lake had quite big waves. A fresh water waterscape has alot of advantages over shooting near the ocean. The waves are much shorter and that way you can shoot shorter exposures for getting a smoothed surface. The other advantage is that when your filters and lens gets wet it is much easier to clean. Saltwater on my Lee filters has ruined many seascape sessions for me.
I also have another new item, a wide angle adapter for my Lee filter holder. It is a small but important piece as I now can stack three filters without capturing the holder itself in the frame. It also reduces vignetting. Thanks to Hallgrg for a brilliant engineering job on producing this out of stock item. It worked flawlessly.
