Cracking Sky

One more photo from the very productive trip with Lucie last June.

The mountain on this photo is Vestrahorn. Its is one of only few mountains in Iceland that is not made of volcanic material. It is made of gabbro, a rock type closely related to granite.

The very shallow water around the mountain makes this spot a ideal one for reflections. the water is only a few centimeters deep and even if it is a little windy (which it was when I took this shot) the water doesn´t get rippled easily.

This shot is a single exposure but I combined two Raw conversion into one in Photoshop as there was to much contrast between the sky and the mountain.
