Rocky Shore: Anemones
Anemones (Order: Actiniaria) are usually sessile, which means they are unable to move their location. As larvae, they are tiny, free floating, and resemble jellyfish until they find a spot to attach to the rocks.

These predatory animals use their many tentacles to stun prey and bring it to their mouth, which is located in the center of the disk. Anemones live in many types of rocky and sandy shore environments.
