Bahamut 2.1

Designed by Satoshi Kamiya from CP, 18.5" square of Thai Chiri (background to guyver III). This is my second try at this model and it looks so much better! I did the legs quite a bit differently this time around to make them as long as possible.

Could you um...make photodiagrams for the wings? Or at least tell me how you made them?
  • Pere Olivella 7y

Dark eagle: Sorry for the extremely late reply.
I drew the CP from a tiny image I found on the web, it's the same one in lancealmekian's photostream.

pls could you upload or send me a pic of this model's cp
  • rast345 5y

actually i was also after the cp (a good version of the cp as all i could find was a blurry one that was no good), i hear that you have one with reference poiints. do you mind sharing with this humble folder as well?
  • rast345 5y

oh and one more question, did you treat your chiri with any mc before folding to make it crisper, or did you just fold right away? the reason i ask is that i also have some thai chiri like this one, but it doesnt look it would be capable of being used to fold such a complex model with!
  • Shuki Kato PRO 5y

Yeah, just send me an email and I'll reply to your address(s).

rast345: I dry folded this until I couldn't fold any farther without it getting 3 dimensional then flattened it as much as possible by spraying the base with water and pounding on it under a towel; then finished the shaping:)
As long as your paper is really thin and can take water it should work.
  • rast345 5y

wow! such a process! will try!
  • Petr Stuchlý 5y

wow! chiri unryu! love the paper and your fold!
