Old Tree New Look

    Newer Older

If you look back in my photo stream you will find a picture of this tree before the haircut! Part of me likes the fact they decimated this tree because it allows for a new perspective on this amazing tree. I personally like both the new and the old for different reasons. Will be very interested to hear what people have to say about this one! I really like the reflections in the water and the bridge.

Really vibrant scene with all that color. It doesn't seem there's much left on the tree, but you managed to make it look beautiful anyway. Pretty cool view.

Sometimes I'm turned off when the colors are to saturated or the tones looks off but I love how well the tones of this one work... really vibrant and the composition rocks... well done!

Love the hints of blue light and the bridge just peaking through.

I'm not sure HOW you managed to make this anorexic tree look good but ya did! when I was there..I didn't even photograph it..hardly a leaf on there!

I like how the red leaves stand out so strongly here.

The trimming will cause the foliage to fill in more densely in the long run. It's an old bonsai trick.
