No Blood of Mine follows Victoria, a young businesswoman. After taking a loan from a North Dakota gangster and losing her business, she flees back to her hometown of Duluth and reunites with her wealthy biological father — only to learn of his untimely demise. When clever Detective Rennie Dupree (played by Larry Yazzie) and his rookie partner Officer Mark Sorenson investigate, Victoria must decide between joining the gangster or facing the incriminating evidence linking her to the murder.

Following the screening was Q & A with film writer and director Wesley Ellenwood and actor Larry Yazzie.

This screening was a part of the Open Screen Film Series at Metropolitan State University’s Film Space in Founders Hall. Open Screen is funded in part through a Knight Arts Challenge Grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
