I have a number of questions about Smarties:

● Why are they so brightly coloured? Do children (or adults for that matter) prefer them like this? Is life richer for these strong colours? (The new Science of Happiness should be able to look at this question.) And if they do, and it is, should then more things be bright colours - houses, suits, bridges, dustbins...??

● The blue, so I hear from nataliej , has been removed in the UK. Is this wise? Now, it's white. And if 'non-chromatic' colours are being added, what about grey and black?

● Why is it so hard to get a picture of them randomly arranged? They seem to want to bunch together.

According to Your Teacher "Only Smarties have the Answer" - but perhaps if you don't have the answers you at least have some thoughts on these important questions?
