Robber Fly (Holcocephala fusca)

My favorite little robber flies are back! They still aren't easy to shoot, but those eyes are always worth the struggle. Out of the 200 shots I took yesterday, only a handful were good enough to do anything with. These little flies are just ~5mm long and incredibly skittish, making them a particularly tough subject to shoot.

Despite their size, they're just as vicious hunters as their larger cousins - taking down just about any flying and non-flying prey their size or less.
