Night View of The Geisel Library, University of California San Diego

The Geisel Library on the San Diego campus of the University of California is a unique and visually striking building. It is considered a prime example of an architectural style called "brutalism". The dramatic look of this building has caused it to be used in several movies and television shows, and it was the inspiration for the look of the famous Snow Fortress in the popular 2010 movie Inception. The building was designed by William Pereira and opened for business in 1970.
