Recalling that I was here two years ago with the preparations of the opening of this Jain Temple, a Jain Priest with a boil of water used to clean thoroughly all the 24 statues of their Spiritual leaders. Jainism is not really a religion but a philosophical way of living following the rules of the 24 Holy monks ... similar to the later Buddhism having the same roots of scholars.
You can see here that the door still had to be covered by silver like you could see in previous Jain photo. Notice the scarf he wears to put over his nose while working in the Temple.
